Example 1: 24-inch Ash Tree treatment (industry standard) costs around $240 for a 2-year Emerald Ash Borer trunk injection insecticide. Removal and stump grinding costs would often be $2500-$3000. $2500 / $240 = 10.4 treatments. You can treat this tree 21 years to equal the cost of a removal.
Example 2: Treating Oak Wilt for a 30-inch Oak with a 2-year trunk injection fungicide (industry standard) would cost around $360. A removal and stump grind for this Oak would often be $3600-$4000. $3600 / $360 = 10 treatments, which means you would be able to treat your tree for 20 years to equal the cost of removal.
